Friday here at last.
My well has been fixed. It was fixed Wednesday afternoon. There was a part in the switch that had come apart due to age and they needed to replace the whole thing. They also add a foot of pipe to the pump since we are in a drought. So, I got my well fixed just in time for the rain. Yes, it has rained for the past day and a half and it will be raining for the next 2 days at least. We really needed the rain.

Two things for today:


1)
Over the past week, I have been getting advertisements as comments on my posts. They have been deleted and will continue to be deleted in the future. I don't care about working from home, what the latest stock buys and sells are or where I can get drugs, creams or lotions that will increase any part of my body.


2)
As I mentioned yesterday, I have been having water problems at home. It seems that with the drought causing the water table to drop, the pump motor on my well was working overtime and it has burned out. They are coming today to fix it plus drop the pump another foot or so. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with it. I am amazed at how clean one can get from a gallon of water. Now for the irony of the day: It is raining which means that they may not be able to fix the motor since it is electrical and it is probably not a good idea to work on while it is wet. So, with the much needed rain falling that is increasing my water table, the rain may postpone the actual fixing of the well. Such is life.

For the 2nd time in 4 days, I have no water at my house. Bottom line is that we are in a drought. I am on a well and pump system that is some yards away from the house. The problem with my well is that the water table is low and probably dropping. We have not had significant rain going on 2 for almost 2 months. The water is there but just not high enough to reach the pump. We may get rain this week but who really knows. I think a 50% chance is the highest chance we have. Not really anything that can be done about this. Nothing to fix or pipes to replace. It may end up that the owner may have to redig the well or get a pump that goes deeper. I may end up at a hotel if it lasts mush longer. I was caught in the shower this morning. Just ran out of pressure. If anyone out there is getting any rain, send some of it up towards Charlotte, NC.
