You make not recognize the face, but you know the name. As one half of one of the, if not the best ever, cartoon animators, Joseph Barbera and his parter William Hanna were behind some of the best known and best loved characters in all of cartoondom. Among these are:

Huckleberry Hound
Quick Draw McGraw
Top Cat
Space Ghost(Birdman)
Galaxy Trio
Jonny Quest
The Jetsons
Scooby Doo
Tom & Jerry
Yogi Bear(and Boo Boo)
The Flintstones

And produced the following:

The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan
Hong Kong Phooey
Captain Caveman

And many many more that I cannot come up with off the top of my head.


Joseph Barbera died yesterday at the age of 95.
